The Cocktail Wedding Reception

Don’t like getting up early to get married like our Victorian ancestors, but also don’t want to have the mega-wedding reception that seems to be the norm these days? Why not go for an elegant cocktail reception?

It’s the ideal option if you are having a small wedding, maybe a less formal one. It also gives you the option to have your reception in a smaller space. Here’s a few ideas…offer a couple of signature drinks to keep your costs down in addition to a beer and wine menu. And, all you need to offer are tray passed or self-serve hors d’oeuvres as the main course! This is something you can even do in your house!

This format will allow you to mingle with the guests all evening and encourage a lot more social interaction than a standard reception.
