Unique Wedding Invitation Idea

Looking for a unique wedding invitation idea? Want your wedding invitations to be remembered for years to come? Check out Reel Invitations.

They have a unique idea of putting together a DVD invitation made up of you and your fiancé personally inviting your guests to your wedding, you can also tell your story, introduce your wedding party, family, etc. You can also include directions to your events and guests can RSVP online too. A standard wedding invitation is also included if one of your guests doesn’t have a DVD player.

They have samples on their site, check them out and see what you think. I can see how there may be some mixed opinions about them.

Here’s an example from youTube:

A lot of the features sound similar to what you would find in a wedding website.

What do you think of this DVD invitation idea?

Wedding Invitations: Erickson Design

I had the pleasure of having Peggy Lambert comment on one of my posts last week.  Peggy is the senior designer and co-owner of Erickson Design a very unique and eco-conscious invitation company.  I’m so glad she shared some information about her company with me!   Now I’m going to share it with you!

Here’s some information Peggy sent me about her invitations…

“There are tons of things I can say about us but basically we love what we do and we love the Earth and hope that it shows in our work. We have scoured the World, literally, to find papers that give back with villages in Thailand, mulberry tree recycles in India, and we found recycled metallic paper that is from Italy (it was unheard of 3 years ago). “

Additionally, they plant a tree for every invitation set they make through the National Arbor Day Foundation (www.arborday.com).

The embroidered paper in this wedding invitation comes from India and was done by artisans that do this for their trade.

Wedding Invitations

This wedding invitation is made with recycled papers and envelopes with the middle fabric-like paper being from Thailand and made from the pulp of the waste of the mulberry tree.

The Ultimate Wedding Venue

Imaging having your wedding in downtown Manhattan, the streets are blocked off, and the backdrop is the beautiful brown stones.  Your band is on a stage in the middle of the street.  Then to top it off you have fireworks going off over the skyline!

This isn’t as impossible as it may seem.  These pictures were actually taken taken at Paramount Studios in Hollywood.  That’s right, they open the New York street set for special events!   But not only that they also make available sound stages, the famous Historic Bronson Gate Entry and more.  Checkout Paramount Studios Special Events for more pictures and information!
